Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light is a strategy role-playing video game developed by Nintendo and Intelligent Systems and published by Nintendo. It is part of the Fire Emblem series. It was released on April 20, 1990 for the Family Computer.
Introduction
The game is a strategic role-playing game, the player controls the protagonist, Marth, who commands his companions to fight against the enemy forces in Archanea. You can invite other characters to join your party during the adventure, constantly growing your power. All character deaths are permanent, and the game is over simply when Marth dies in battle.
Plot
Half a year has passed since the battle between the hero Anri and the Shadow Dragon Medeus in the continent of Archanea.
The sudden resurrection of Medeus filled the world with fear and despair once again.
Medeus attempts to rebuild the Dorian Empire, and has allied with the priest Ganev, who also seeks world domination. Their goal is to conquer all of the continent.
King Cornelius of the Kingdom of Altea, inherited the bloodline of the hero Anri, but because of the betrayal of Gera, the Altean army suffered a rout. The Kingdom of Altea fell, and the Falchion was also taken away.
Prince Marth of Altea, who was 14 years old at the time, managed to escape to the border island kingdom of Talys, while being warmly treated by the people of Talys, he is also looking forward to the liberation of his homeland soon.
However, one day, when he was 16 years old, the Garda pirates took over the castle of Talys. Marth, along with Princess Caeda who had escaped and other Altean soldiers, advance towards the city of Talys.
