Tsuburaya Productions is a Japanese film and television production company.
Introduction
The company was founded in 1963 by Eiji Tsuburaya, a film director and special effects director who is considered the "Father of Tokusatsu". It focuses on the production of science-fiction/science fantasy television series and films.
In 2007, Tsuburaya was completely plunged into a serious financial crisis due to internal corruption, and eventually went bankrupt and was acquired by the Japanese animation consortium TYO, becoming its subsidiary[note 1], and later, management was hnaded over to the Pachinko game company Fields. In addition, Bandai Namco is also a major shareholder of Tsuburaya[1]
