Global Policies

Global policies are, presently, the backbone of the English Moegirlpedia policy structure. Since the spun-off of the English language project, most of the editors of English Moegirlpedia come from the Chinese language project (often known as the "main site") who tends to follow Chinese project policies and guidelines by habit and convention. In addition, with an unsevered usergroup structure, English Moegirlpedia has had and will continue to have in the foreseeable future the same moderation team as the Chinese project. Thus, to contiune with the current convention, allow for quick ports and localizations of Chinese policies, prepare the English branch for greater independence in the future, and prevent internal policy conflicts between sister projects, the idea of global policy is used to simultaneously allow for the up-to-date adoption of Chinese Moegirlpedia policies and the adaptation and localization of the said policies to fit the English moegirlpedia need without the need of additional work at the Chinese project side.

The main difference between a global policy and a local policy with external source is that global policies updates with changes from the source. Any parts of a global policy not modified shall stay synced to the original; whenever the original global policy is changed, the translated version changes with it. In contrast, a local policy with external source are a mere translation and adaptation of an external document; change of that external document will not reflect in the corresponding local policy unless the community deems the update necessary (through a standard local policy revision/amendment process).
