Wolverine is a character in the works published by American company Marvel Comics.

Introduction

He first appeared in Issue #180 of The Incredible Hulk (1974).

Born in Canada in the 19th century, James' mutant powers manifested when his parents were killed by Thomas Logan. James, along with his best friend Rose, ran away from the family home to find someplace safe. It was her who gave her the name "Logan".

Logan was later kidnapped by scientists who experimented on him as part of the Weapon X program; they infused his body with Adamantium (an indestructible metal), until Logan later broke free, and escaped the lab while also slaughtering those who kidnapped him.

He later was made a member of the X-Men by Professor X.

Powers and Abilities

  • Wolverine possesses an indestructible Adamantium skeleton.
  • A healing factor which allows him to recover from most wounds.
  • Adamantium claws which extend from his knuckles, which he can use to attack or cut into surfaces.
