The most popular members of the AKB48 Senbatsu (general election): Atsuko Maeda, Yuko Oshima and Yuki Kashiwagi.

Oshi (, meaning "to push") is a term used among otaku, mainly idol fans, to identify themselves as a supporter of an idol, and express their great love for them.

The term is most commonly used among fans of AKB48.

For example, if the fan supports one member of the group, the member is an oshimen (推しメン)、short for oshiteru member (推してるメンバー), or "the member you support".

Variations of the term

Kami-oshi

A kami-oshi (神推し) is a fan who supports the most popular member among the oshimen.

Hako-oshi

A hako-oshi (箱推し) is a fan that supports the whole group, rather than just one member.
