This page, "Moegirlpedia:Extended confirmed editors", is a Moegirlpedia essay, not a policy.

Extended confirmed editors (extendedconfirmed) is a user group that is automatically granted by the MediaWiki system after the user has met higher conditions such as the length of the first edit and the number of edits.

"Extended confirmed editors" can be seen as an upgraded version of autoconfirmed users, which requires users to meet more rigorous conditions in order to be granted the appropriate privileges.

The introduction of the extended confirmed user mechanism can further improve the security of Moegirlpedia and also encourage more users to actively participate in the editing process. Through the extended confirmed user mechanism, users can get privileges to better participate in the editing of Moegirlpedia.

Authorization and exclusion

The extended confirmation of users for Moegirlpedia requires users to meet the two conditions of having completed 90 days since their first edit and having made at least 500 edits.

If a user satisfies both conditions described in the preamble, he or she will be granted the extended confirmation user user group of Moegirlpedia.

Users who have met the criteria by March 9, 2023 will need to make one edit to be granted this user group.

Also, administrators can manually add or remove the extended confirmed user group for users as needed:

  • Manual authorization is generally only used for high-level editing or anti-vandalism work. It should not be authorized if it is for personal reasons of the user such as changing master accounts.
  • User groups may be removed when they are improperly granted, abused, or abandoned by the user.
  • Administrators should communicate with other administrators before granting or removing permissions, and ensure that the reasonableness of the decision is understood and approved.
