Introduction
Marpril debuted in March 2019 under Iwamotochou Geinosha. It is a two-person idol girl VTuber group composed of its own artists, Youka Yata and Rei Tachibana.
The name is composed of the members' birth months (Touka in March, Rin in April). They were originally called "Marple", however, the name was the same as the novel Agatha Christie's Marple, and the trademark registration failed, so the group name was changed to "Marpril".
Although it is called an idol group, they usually focus on uploading short films in the style of artists. Of course, they also upload original music and dance videos. The song and dance MVs using exquisite motion capture are also a major attraction point of them.
