Plot Summary

In the afternoon class, everyone except the main character and the teacher falls asleep. The protagonist forces himself to stay awake, but time and time again he loses to the onrushing sleepiness. There is nothing more hypnotic than the sound of the teacher's lecture, and nothing more conducive to sleep than the smell of books.

The author uses various heavy objects metaphor to express the physical movements when sleepiness strikes, the kind of shaking of the head that wants to sleep, but is afraid to do so.
