"Aoi-chan Is Going to Eat ChocoMint No Matter What" (Japanese: 絶対にチョコミントを食べるアオイチャン)is an original Voiceroid song composed by GYARI, a follow-up on Akane-chan Will Listen to Whatever You Have to Say. The song is originally uploaded to Niconico and Youtube on 9 August 2019.
As most of GYARI's songs, the song possesses a rather long title which is officially shortened to "Chocomintopia".
Following GYARI's success on "Seyena.", "Chocomintopia" received great popularity; it, with "Seyana.", are the only two Voiceroid songs that recieved over 100,000 views on Niconico Douga.
The song tells the story of Kotonoha Aoi as a diehard Chocomint (chocolate mint) fan: she tried to introduce chocomint to her regular chocolate ice cream-loving older sister, Kotonoha Akane; launched a political party to promote chocomint; and fought twitter-war with anti-chocomint groups. She end up chastised by Akane with chocomint ice creams made from a revolting recipe, upon when she finally realized that people have the right to freewill.
Story
Kotonoha Aoi returns home with only chocolate mint-flavored cold snacks. We then see her typical day and her love for chocomints; buffled by the rejection of her older sister, Kotonoha Akane, she decides to preach to her sister (and then the whole nation by launching a political party) why chocomints are great.
During the bridge, Aoi bought or made many chocomint treats (even entrées) for Akane, than starts singing about chocomint cakes; thus, the god was reborn.
Someone posted a revolting recipe for chocomint ice creams on a recipe sharing website, successfully trolling Aoi; just as she types out her angry response, Akane enters with none other than the revolting chocomint ice.
Akane stuffs Aoi with the revolting ice just as how Aoi has forced her to eat chocomint treats; Aoi finally realized "that people have the right to freewill and choice" and proceed to disband her political party. In the ending scene, Aoi bought Akane her favorite chocolate ice cream.
Jokes and Netas
- Aoi's first three tweet are "Morning Chocomint☆", "Noon Chocomint☆", and "evening Chocomint☆".
- "Ya↑ttaze" (Japanese: や↑ったぜ) is a reference to the Rei no Are subculture.[1]
- The first time, Aoi muted the person sending trolling comment on twitter (which roughly translates to "T/O/O/T/H/P/A/S/T/E"); the second time (during the second bridge), she blocked them.
- During the first bridge, Aoi served Akane chocomint-flavored spaghetti.
- You didn't expect that Seyana, did you?
- The comment appeared after the bad recipe scene roughly translates to:"Let's spread a bad recipe and troll all the chocomint people! LOL". You can see why Aoi appears so unsettled then so furious now...
- Aoi's furious typing after the bad recipe scene is of the Wazap JoJoThis page does not exist in English Moegirlpedia yet. You may want to refer to this page on Chinese Moegirlpedia: Wazap乔鲁诺. (zh:Wazap乔鲁诺) format. Notice that the recipe sharing site is named "WazaCook".
- The ending music to the Extra is GYARI's interpretation of "Roundabout" by Yes, also famous for being the ED of the JoJo anime series. The extra is a reference to the To Be Continued meme.
