Beatcats (Japanese: ビートキャッツ) is a virtual idol group and character franchise created in 2020 by Sanrio and Sega Toys.
Introduction
Beatcats, five colorful cats from somewhere when the heart doesn't stop pounding!
Beatcats love the throbbing colors that come from hearts!
They absorb the throbbing colors and turns them into energy that makes them shine.
And, to thank you for your excitement, they will support you with songs and dances.

A dance/vocal unit consisting of five female cats. Their birthday is February 22, said to be "the day they woke up from a long sleep".
They're actually vampires.
In the distant past, the Beatcats used to belong to a beautiful young lady, and seeing how much she loved them made them happy. But one day, the girl disappeared, leaving behind a letter. Reading it, the Beatcats thought she forgot about them.
One day, after they awakened from their sleep, they saw the image of an artist performing live on stage on a big screen. The Beatcats sensed the heartbeats of the people who were enjoying her performance, so they decided to become singers themselves.[1]

- Mia/ミア
- The pink cat. Her charm points are her tsun personality and sharp ears. Her hobby is watching girls whose hearts are beating. Has an outstanding singing ability and a cute high-pitched voice.
- Chelsea/チェルシー
- An aqua blue Shimashima cat. She's always sleepy. I say something a little dry, but my roots are friends. Has a whispering voice that is fragile and transparent.
- Rico/リコ
- The yellow patch cat. Her lion-like tail is very popular. She is full of energy and high tension, and I just get a tongue. Makes everyone feel good with a sharp dance.
- Layla/レイラ
- The purple cat. She always wears headphones and has a sloppy face, but she seems to be talking properly. She will liven up the stage with rapping.
- Emma/エマ
- A fluffy, mint-colored cat. She is gentle and kind. She is said to be a natural character, but she is not convinced. She is good at supple sexy dance.
