Digimon World is a role-playing game developed and published by Bandai for the PlayStation on January 28, 1999. It is based on the Digimon series.
Introduction
The game puts the player in the role of a young boy who is transported to the Digital World inside his virtual pet by Jijimon. The Digimon of File City had begun losing their abilities, and had left the town, and Jijimon tasks the boy with repopulating the city by finding the other Digimon.
Gameplay
The game is divided in two modes, which are raising Digimon and battling other Digimon. While the player explores the Digital World, their partner Digimon will accompany them. The player must look out for their Digimon by feeding them, letting them rest, and other things, they can also train them in nearby gyms.
They can also battle wild Digimon, but can also opt to run away from the fight.
