The iDOLM@STER series (Japanese: アイドルマスターシリーズ) is a game series created by Japan's Bandai Namco Entertainment, as well as a series of multimedia projects surrounding it.
Introduction
THE iDOLM@STER is a bishoujo game series owned by Namco. It was originally released for arcades. Due to its critical acclaim, the original arcade game was given the opportunity to be ported to the Xbox 360 and have its first anime adaptation (THE iDOLM@STER XENOGLOSSIA). Taking this opportunity, in order to make maximum use of the elements of the iDOLM@STER series, Namco started the multimedia project "Project iM@S" in September 2006, and expanded into mobile games, rhythm games, live-action series and other multimedia works.
The game series spun off from the arcade game that Namco began planning and producing in 2001. Influenced by the success of Konami's Tokimeki Memorial series in the early 2000s, Namco decided to develop an arcade game based on the bishoujo genre. Taking into account the idol trend of the time represented by Morning Musume and the elements of arcade games such as combat, the production team decided to create a game with an idol theme. Due to various reasons, it was not until July 26, 2005 that the iDOLM@STER series was released to the public for the first time.

The series began with the arcade game THE iDOLM@STER released in 2005.
It is generally believed that the characters appear in the same worldview, with 765 Production as the center, connecting the characters of different series together. 876 Production, Jupiter, and the Idol Candidates are also characters in the same worldview. However, the development in different series may be mutually exclusive. For example, 346 Production does not exist in other worldlines, and the characters of 765 Theater may not belong to 765 in other worldlines.
