Brief biography
Early life
Career
- After graduating from university, Sun was assigned to the SEK Studio and settled in Pyongyang. From that time until his retirement, Sun worked as an animation director.
- He has written dozens of movies, including The Boy Who Came to the Tiger, The Hedgehog Who Overcomes the Tiger, Stone Buddha Story, The Fired Fox, and The Tale of the Rabbit, Three Companions, and I Don't Know. In particular, he directed a number of films in The Boy General. During the period has participated in several animation festivals at home and abroad, he won many awards.
After retirement
- A few years before 2018, Sun retired.
- In 2018, Sun Chong Kwŏn, one of the directors of the first season of The Boy General, returned to SEK Studios as "Grandfathers Retired because of Old Age" and promoted it on KCTV's special "On the Day of the Creation of the Animation".
