Shanghai Cartoon Association was the first cartoon society in China, founded in 1927, with members including [[Ding Song]], [[Feng Zikai]], [[Zhang Guanyu]], [[Lu Zhengfei]], [[Wang Dunqing]], etc.The association's emblem is Cartoon Dragon, representing a caricatured dragon awakening, taking off, determined to fight for the future of the homeland. Members of the association played a leadership role in cartoon circle at that time, acted as hardcore force in cartoon creation and initiated many periodicals. The association also brought out numerous excellent books.
