CB, formerly known as Baianinho ("Little Bahia Boy")[1] is the mascot of the Brazilian home retail store chain Casas Bahia.
Introduction
Baianinho, the mascot of Casas Bahia, has a long history. He was created in 1979.[2] When he was redesigned in 2020, the Brazilian netizens, many of which grew up with him, protested against this change, thinking that yet another beloved icon of their childhood was "destroyed".[3][note 1]
Nevertheless, CB keeps on being representative of the store chain to this day.
Trivia
- He has been shipped with two other virtual spokespeople from Brazil: Nat, from cosmetics brand Natura, and Lu, from fellow retail store Magazine Luiza.
