APOKI (아뽀키) is a Virtual YouTuber from South Korea.
Introduction
APOKI shows a unique presence with concepts, music, and performances that only APOKI can digest. Currently, she has a thick fan base of about 2.35 million in YOUTUBE, TIKTOK, and INSTAGRAM, and is actively demonstrating her musical capabilities in various ways.
A real voice actor, not text-to-speech or Vocaloid, does her voice and motion capture. The modeling quality of APOKI and the surrounding background is high.
It is not the moe character that can often be thought of when thinking of a virtual YouTuber[note 1], but rather a character with a Western 3D animation style (ex. Pixar).
Clothes and backgrounds change for each song uploaded every week.
In the live broadcast that was uploaded on September 14, 2020, a video was filmed in Apoki's room after about 5 months, but the poster on the wall was changed without any notice. [* Previously, a poster that looked like it was taken from a rabbit-duck painting by Wittgenstein and a parody of Glastonbury, "GRASS TON BUNNY" There was a poster for the festival. Available here. [1].
On December 30, 2020, while performing a live, she ran out and suddenly left on a rocket. The appearance of Apoki going somewhere in real time was broadcast until the 13th of March.
Related characters
Baekki
On APOKI's YouTube channel, the white male rabbit also appears frequently, and the rabbit's name is Baekki. Actually, Baekki was a rabbit in the corner of the room, but it came out because he was greedy for broadcast. It also appears frequently on Instagram posts, but the rabbit has various shapes. On December 30, 2020, while on a live broadcast with Apoki, he was left alone.
Geumkki
In the live on July 1, 2020, a character called Geumkki appeared instead of 100 Meals. As the name suggests, it is a white meal with a golden body. It is presumed that he is from overseas (?), and he greets users in English or gives explanations instead.
OVA
She is a backup dancer who is active with the release of Apoki's new song 'GET IT OUT'. She is featured in a hoodie and has green hair. Her name, OVA, appears to have been borrowed the first four letters (OVER) from the English word Overdose.
DOSE
Like OVA, she is Apoki's backup dancer. She is seen wearing a hoodie and has pink hair. The name, DOSE, seems to have been borrowed the last four letters (DOSE) from the English word Overdose.
