Mina Sky, codenamed Thunderbird, is a defender character in the first-person shooter game Rainbow Six: Siege developed by Ubisoft's Montreal Studio.

Introduction

Thunderbird was born in the Nakoda Territories in Saskatchewan, and one of the first things she learned from her mother was the importance of community. She learned about engines from her father's teaching when she was a child. Before learning how to fly a helicopter, her father had taught her about helicopters.

She always liked to experience new things, so she participated in the "Bold Eagle" program at the age of seventeen, and received excellent grades in basic military training. She has benefited a lot from the program, receiving a lot of guidance from community elders and Aboriginal mentors. It was also because of the former that she ignited an interest in protecting what she loved most, that is, protecting the "Nakoda way of life".

After Thunderbird joined the Canadian Army, she thought that since the Canadian Army had taught her how to take away lives, she should also learn how to save them. After completing her training at the Canadian Forces Health Services Training Centre (CFHSTC), she continued to serve in the Canadian Army as an Air Guard.

  • Mental status report

When Nomad first mentioned expert "Thunderbird" Mina Sky to us, I wasn't surprised by her recommendation. Skye was an excellent medical officer, aviation technician and pilot. The drive, training and character she has seemed like a good fit for Nomad's team. But what surprised me was that this was the first time I had heard of her character.

Had it not been for Sky's medical training, Nomad might not have survived the accident in the North. It's not known if that encounter was what made Nomad's friendship with a hunter like Expert Frost. Given her background, I think Frost and Sky have a lot in common. Obviously family is very important to Sky, and her family is not limited to those who are directly related by blood. Growing up, Sky was influenced by the Nakoda community as much as her parents. The knowledge they impart is not just history, but a cultural heritage that needs to be preserved and a way of life that needs to be practiced.

All in all, Sky's understanding and open-minded personality has created her emotional awareness, and she will pursue balance in everything she does. She describes the world and the human body as an engine. First, you must understand what it does, and then understand how it works. If the wiring is damaged, it cannot be repaired with screws, but screws can hold the bone in place while it recovers. I can understand the metaphor, first understand the situation and then think about the solution. However, that doesn't mean she won't lose her temper. The thing she "can't accept" is disrespect. The most important principle for her is respect for others, whether it is their way of life or their right to life.

Skye seems to have slightly affected her ability to assess risk because of her self-confidence and experience. After discussing some of the more difficult adventures with her, I was a little concerned about her daring tactical style. I asked her how she felt in the air and if she was looking for thrills. She responded with a smile and a simple answer, "It feels like I'm flying." I thought I deserved that answer...

Equipment: "comrade in arms" therapeutic device

Operator: Specialist Mina "Thunderbird" Sky

Head of Assessment: Expert Lera "Finka" Melnikova

After thoroughly testing the device, I was struck by Sky's creativity and ability to create this therapy device. Finding biocompatible and bioabsorbable chemicals was the key to the successful manufacture of this polyurethane foam capsule. The healer's sensor has a 360-degree rotation function, which can dispense potions independently, allowing operators to focus on other tasks and choose strategic locations for equipment. Bringing the "comrade-in-arms" therapeutic apparatus on the field is like bringing an extra team member. The combination of chitosan and the pressure generated by the expansion of the foam can close larger wounds than even medical cyanoacrylate adhesives. With this equipment, there is no need to remove the fibers covering the wound in the future, I believe Doc will definitely look forward to it. The only downside of the therapy device is that it doesn't distinguish between enemy and me. However, in practical applications, this should not be a serious defect that needs to be improved. In addition, this equipment is also unable to withstand blunt weapon damage. In this evaluation, I focused on the therapeutic device's medical assistance capabilities, but also tested its defense capabilities. The results show that the equipment can resist the damage of laser and fire scorch. This is a rare and powerful advantage, and I wonder if Mira can manage to apply this technology to other strategic equipment.

Experience

Skill Description

  • The healing bullets fired by the "Comrade-in-arms" healing device can restore 30 points of health to operators.
  • The "Comrade-in-arms" healing device will have a four-second preparation time when it is deployed and activated, during which it will not heal the operator.
  • The number of times the "Comrade-in-arms" healer can be used is unlimited, but each healing requires a period of charging before the operator can be healed, but picking it up and putting it down can skip the charging time.
  • The healing range of the "comrade-in-arms" healing device is a circular area with a radius of 2 meters at the center. All operators in this area will be healed, whether it is the attacker or the defender, but when both operators are present at the same time , it will give priority to the treatment of the defending operator.
  • If an operator falls to the ground within the healing range of the "comrade-in-arms" healing device, the healing effect of the healing device needs to be triggered manually.
  • As long as your health is lower than 100%, the "comrade-in-arms" healing device will actively heal you, and the part exceeding the upper limit of health will become temporary health.
  • The healing priority of the "comrade-in-arms" healing device is: Defender priority, downed priority, lowest health priority, and closest priority.
  • The "comrade-in-arms" healing device will automatically aim at the operator when the operator is 4 meters away from the operator (healing bullets will not be fired at this time), and will adjust the aiming direction according to the operator's moving position. This feature can be used to determine whether there are enemies near the "comrade-in-arms" healing device. However, the "comrade" healer will not target during charging.
  • In "The Division" series, there are the same props as the "comrade-in-arms" healing instrument: the medical station of the first-generation agent technology, the repairing hive of the second-generation agent technology, and the medical station placed by the Dark Fang support soldiers. It is an Easter egg specially set by Ubisoft.

Countermeasures

  • The "Comrade-in-arms" therapeutic device has no interference effect and aggressiveness, neither bulletproof nor explosion-proof, so shoot directly with firearms or explosive projectiles such as grenades, GONNE-6, Ash blasting rounds, Zofia shock grenades fired by KS79 "Lifeline" double-barreled launchers, Kali's low-speed blasting point gun and Flores's Rogue RCE remote control explosives Such explosives can destroy it, and of course there are other ways to deal with it.
  • Thatcher's EMP grenade can disable the "Comrade" Healer for a period of time.
  • Twitch's Shock Drone and Zero's Hundred-Eyes Giant Camera can detect the "comrade-in-arms" healing device and fire lasers to kill it Destroy from a safe distance.
  • IQ can find and destroy the "Comrade" Healer with her Electronic Device Detector.

Attention

  • When the "comrade-in-arms" therapy device keeps aiming at a direction without friendly troops for no reason but does not heal anyone, it means that there is a high probability of an enemy within 3-4 meters of the "comrade-in-arms" therapy device.
  • When the "comrade-in-arms" treatment device suddenly performs treatment in a place where there are no friendly troops, it means that there is an enemy within 2 meters near the "comrade-in-arms" treatment device at that time.
  • The "Comrade in Arms" Healer works perfectly with Oryx, replenishing the HP lost by using the Blade Charge.

Trivia

  • Thunderbird's code name comes from "thunderbird", which is a huge bird in Native American legend, shaped like an eagle. When it fluttered his wings and flew high, there would be thunder, and thousands of lightning bolts would be released between his eyelids; it was a spirit of thunder, lightning, and rain in the image of a giant bird.
  • Thunderbird is a native of the Nakoda Territories in North America, and the tattoo on her chin has the meaning of "warrior" in Nakoda culture.
  • Nomad was Thunderbird's introduction to Rainbow Six, and Thunderbird had saved Nomad's life.
  • Thunderbird flew an Augusta Wesland CH-419 Cormorant helicopter in the season trailer. The aircraft is mainly in service with the Royal Canadian Air Force, 413 Transport and Rescue Squadron, and its main duties are search and rescue and transport.
