In his past life, Gunwoo used to take photos of idols for a living.

The System
The level system is a "mental interface" which grants their user missions as though it were a computer program, and should the user fail the mission, they die. Here, the missions are related to idol activities. For Moondae, it isn't presented as a system, but rather, a "status window". For Cheongryeo, it is possible for him to "retry", as in, revive after dying and complete the mission.
The truth about the level system... |
---|
The level system is a mental parasite who has been living on Earth since the past. It preys on a dying person which meets certain conditions, and sends them to the optimal past, where they can fulfill their wishes. When the host completes these missions, it moves on to the next person who is physically closest to them. The parasite can send the host to the past as long as it does not interfere with the return of the previous host. It originally preyed on historical figures, but after possessing Cheongryeo, it chose idols as they were targets for both positive and negative emotions. Moondae's "status window" is able to know whether Moondae has completed his mission or not, thanks to someone who met the same conditions he had. As it turned out, the status window was none other than the soul of the "real" Moondae, who was on the verge of death after a failed suicide attempt, and merged with the system after an error caused when granting his wish, making him and Moondae (Gunwoo) swap bodies. |
