Alan is a teenager (age unidentified[1]), who likes to sleep and play video games. Apart from piloting his rocketship, he also rides a hoverboard-like vehicle.
Over time, he began missing his father, Jeff Tracy, and after finding out he was actually alive, he hoped that he and his brothers could find him someday.
In the Season 3 finale, he graduated from high school, and after rescuing Jeff Tracy, he attended a ceremony arranged by his grandmother.
