The Aikatsu! series (Japanese: アイカツ！シリーズ) is a series of music arcade games with an idol development theme part of the Data Carddass (Japanese: データカードダス) series published by Bandai. There are also derivative works such as anime, mobile games, manga, and novels.
Series introduction
The promotional slogan for the first work in the series was "The National Idol Audition Game".
The "アイカツ!" in the series name is actually an abbreviation of "アイドルカツドウ!" (Idol activities!).
The Aikatsu! series mainly includes arcade games, anime, mobile games, manga, novels, etc.
In Aikatsu!, players can control their own characters (requires IC card) or characters from the game, use costume cards and play music rhythm games, perform on stage, earn more fans, and work hard to become legendary idols. Although the game was originally targeted at elementary school girls, many adults (Ojisan) also like this work, and they are called Aikatsu Ojisan (アイカツおじさん). Here are some pictures of them:
