Fantasio is a character in the TV series Spirou & Fantasio.

Introduction

He is a reporter and Spirou's partner. He can be eccentric at times. He is also passionate about technology.

History

In "Sparkling Fantasio", while attending a congress by a scientist about electricity at Betalog, he invited them to test his new invention: the Tracer, a device that can amplify a person's electric field. However, this Tracer was still a prototype, and accidentally expanded Fantasio's electric fields to a maximum level, making him electric.

In "Who's Who", Fantasio finds the Count of Champignac's cloning device, and uses it to clone himself, so that he can take a day off while his clone goes with Spirou to the Arctic. This backfires, however, and the clone soon starts having a mind of its own.
