Misty is a character in the Pokémon series and its derivative works.
In the anime
The youngest of the four sisters in the Cerulean City Gym. Because of her desire to be independent and become a Water Pokémon Master, she set out on a journey. She also claims to be the most beautiful.
She really likes Water-type Pokémon, but also likes Pokémon that are cute. She is afraid of Bug-type Pokémon.
On her journey, she met Ash, but Pikachu burned her bicycle with its electric shock. In order to ask Ash to pay her for the bicycle, she tagged along with him, and from that moment, they always journeyed together. It is common for her to fight with Ash, she is also responsible for stopping Brock from going crazy whenever he sees a beautiful woman.
After the end of the Silver Conference of the Johto League, Misty got a message from her sisters, telling her to go back and manage the Cerulean Gym, and she had no choice but to separate from Ash and Brock.
After Ash and friends came back from the Hoenn League, they reunited with Misty.

Other
- According to the games, Misty is an ordinary gym owner, with no special status. Since there was no female protagonist in the first generation of Pokémon games, the Pokémon anime would be considered too "manly" without a female protagonist. Therefore, the character of Misty was made into a main character.
- In Pokémon Yellow Version, not only does Misty's character resemble that of the anime, she also has her catchphrases.
- In HeartGold/SoulSilver, if you take Togepi to the Cerulean Gym, its reaction will be confusing.
- In Let's Go, Pikachu!/Let's Go, Eevee!, the three default trainers in the Cerulean Gym are replaced by Misty's three sisters from the anime.
