Ryo Taniguchi (谷口亮) is a Japanese illustrator and character designer.[1] He specializes in "pop" and "cute" art.

Biography
Born on September 5, 1974, in Fukuoka, Japan, Taniguchi studied at Nakamura Gakuen Sanyo High School, and in the Cabrillo College in the United States of America, graduating as an Art Major.[2]
Since the start of his career as a freelance illustrator in 1998, Taniguchi has designed characters for many Japanese companies and institutions.[3]
