Waldo is the main character of the Where's Waldo? book series created by Martin Handford.

Introduction

Waldo's signature outfit consists of a red-and-white-striped shirt, blue pants, a bobble hat, and round glasses. He is a traveler with the ability to travel through space and time. In the "Land of Waldos", there are hundreds of others that look exactly like him.[note 5] He often carries a walking stick in his journeys, and Woof (his dog) always accompanies him.

In the 1991 animated series, Waldo could use the walking stick to open portals to travel between worlds.
