Wing (翼) is a Chinese virtual idol created by Boyi Culture in 2017. He is part of the SuperV Project, related to the boy group X-TIME.[1]

Profile

Wing is a 17-year-old teenager born on another dimension between time and space. He is energetic, passionate about music, and is good at playing the drums. Rumor has it that his pet, Xiuxiu (咻咻), is actually a beast.

Career

2016: Conception and creation

On December 15, 2016, Boyi Culture inaugurated the "SuperV Project", a virtual idol designing contest. The winning design would be made into a virtual idol, which would be then used in a vast majority of media projects.[2]

The winner of the contest was illustrator Rin-Kaki, with the virtual idol being named "Wing" (翼).[3]

2017-2018: Debut with "Agitate", UTAU voicebank

Wing made his official debut on July 23, 2017 with the single "Agitate" (鼓动).

In May 21, 2018, he was given a sound library for the synthesis software UTAU, along with his first demo: a cover of X-TIME's "Love Operator" (恋爱咒语). The library was created by DHuduoduoD (D胡多多D), Huoruky, and sampled by Jialun Mixer (嘉伦Mixer). It contains three sounds: Normal, Rock, and Soft.
