Ling (零) is a Chinese virtual idol created by E-GO and Rock Forward Entertainment in 2015.[1] She is also a character in the manhua Utopia (理想国).[2]

She is voiced by Chinese voice actress Zhu Quecheng (朱雀橙).

Appearance

Ling has long white hair stylized like the body of a manta ray. She has silver eyes, hexagonal headphones, and her outfit has marine and digital elements.

Profile

LingSinger - a 16-year-old girl who looks weak on the outside, but has a determination that does not lose to a boy. She is kind, honest, good at observing others, and pays attention to minor changes of others. She sometimes tells jokes to light up the room, but she has too few humor cells and often awkward silence. She is with natural black attributes.

She can sing and dance, and good at a variety of instruments, look forward to being with the senior orchestra members and have been practicing hard. Her dream is to be able to go on a worldwide tour with her orchestra partners.

Career

On October 12, 2015, Ling became a contestant on PPTV's Singing to Fame, where she was among the most voted contestants online.[3] She officially appeared on the show on December 5 of the same year.

In August of 2016 she was presented at the Xiamen International Animation Festival.[4][5]

On November 28, 2016, as a birthday present to the fans, a special video was produced, featuring Ling doing a cover of Carly Rae Jepsen's "Call Me Maybe".[6]
