Pan is a character in the manga Dragon Ball created by Akira Toriyama and its related works.
Introduction
She is the daughter of Gohan and Videl. She appeared at the end of the original Dragon Ball manga, and she was 4 years old at the time. She had inherited her family's martial arts tradition. Pan is one-quarter (1/4) Saiyan, and has a strong combat potential, but she seems to be unable to unleash Saiyan transformations.
She is mainly active in the anime Dragon Ball GT, and she is the female lead of the story.
Pan in Japanese means "bread". Unlike the other Saiyans in her family, this name does not have a kanji equivalent. At the same time, her name is the same as that of Pan, a character in Greek mythology, who was later visualized by Catholicism in Europe as the original form of the devil. So, her name is considered to be in line with the naming rules of the Satan family.
History
In Dragon Ball Super:
She made her first appearance in the movie Battle of Gods. When Goku fought with the God of Destruction in order to enter Super Saiyan God state, the assistance of other Saiyans was needed. Pan, who was still in fetal state at the time, came to help Goku, assisted by her mother. Shortly after, Pan was finally born, and made her debut appearance in Dragon Ball Super, raised by her mother, Videl, and sometimes looked after by Piccolo. In the encounter with Pilaf's gang, she once flew to the altitude of near-Earth orbit with her own power, becoming the youngest female character in the Dragon Ball series to do so.
In the movie Super Hero, Pan is 3 years old, and she has the same haircut her father had when he went to Planet Namek.
