Superboy is a character created by DC Comics.
Introduction
Kon-El was a teenaged clone of Kal-El, created by Project Cadmus using Kal-El's body and the genetic material of both Kal-El and Lex Luthor. He was one of the four who claimed to be the "new Superman" after the death of the original.
At first, he didn't like being called "Superboy", but he later became accustomed to it.
After Superman was revealed to be alive, he moved to Hawaii.
He then met Robin and Impulse, and the three became known as "Young Justice".[note 1]
He died while fighting Superboy-Prime, his Earth-Prime counterpart, during the events of Infinite Crisis,[note 2] but was brought back to life in the 30th century, and became a member of the Legion of Super-Heroes.
He was then turned into a Black Lantern in Blackest Night, but reverted to his original self.[note 3].
In The New 52, a new version of the character was introduced.
After the events of Flashpoint, Kon-El was transported to Gemworld, during that time, a new Superboy had been created. In Gemworld, he was found by Impulse, who was happy to see him alive. Kon-El had saved a Gemworld native, who was pregnant, and posed as her husband during that time.
