South Island (Japanese: サウスアイランド), also known as South Side Island, is a location/area in the Sonic the Hedgehog series.
Introduction
South Island is an island on the planet Mobius. It first appeared on the Sega Genesis game Sonic the Hedgehog.
Background
Before Sonic landed on South Island, Dr. Eggman created quite a lot of factories and gradually occupied various areas there. After occupying these areas, he began to look for the Chaos Emeralds, that could greatly enhance technological capabilities. After Sonic arrived here, he collected the six Chaos Emeralds first and drove Dr. Eggman away.
