Electrical and thunder powers are special abilities in ACG works.
In different works, people with electric abilities have different titles, such as "electrokinesis".
Introduction
Electrical power is the ability to manipulate electricity, which is the ability to control electricity such as charge, currents, or voltage.
Electricity in reality includes natural electricity and artificial electricity. A representative example of natural electricity is lightning.
Artificial electricity is obtained by generating electricity through certain devices and equipment through principles such as friction and electromagnetic induction.
Many works of fiction involve electrical abilities, some are still subject to laws of physics, and some are magical lightning generated by magic powers.
In works related to science, they are often linked to magnetism, which means they are still subject to the laws of physics.
In works related to magic, lightning composed of magic rides on the laws of physics. So generally speaking, its power is greater than physical lightning.
Weakness
- If the ability generates an ordinary current, it will also be limited by the properties of the current, such as being unable to penetrate rock, soil or insulating materials. In this case, if you do not make use of the conductive properties of water, first wet the insulating target with water. If you behave like this, you will basically not be able to cause damage when using electrical abilities.
- Some espers are afraid of short-circuiting themselves, so those with elements that are restrained by the lightning element (such as water) will instead use their own attributes and characteristics to conduct electricity to counteract the espers with lightning powers.
- Generally speaking, most of the elements that restrain lightning-based abilities are wind/air or earth. However, there are also many works, such as those based on Wuxing, that use wind and thunder instead because the abilities of the metal element and wood element are difficult to design. These two elements lead to the fact that sometimes thunder and lightning will in turn restrain the abilities of wind/air and earth elements.
- Continuing from the previous article, some works even use the reason that thunder and lightning can cause fires and encourage fires, or apply settings such as the mutual generation and restraint of the wuxing elements to allow fire-element abilities to restrain lightning-element abilities. At the same time, in many works that follow the laws of physics (especially those that also have magical properties), the high temperatures generated by lightning-related phenomena, mainly electrothermal effects, can also be offset by fire resistance.
