Sparx is a character in the Spyro the Dragon series.
Introduction
He is Spyro's dragonfly companion. He has been with him ever since he was born. In the dragon world, it is said that dragonflies are the protectors of dragons, and if they disappear, terrible things would happen to their dragon.
In the first game, Sparx joined Spyro on his quest to free the dragons from Gnasty Gnorc's spell. In Ripto's Rage, Sparx and Spyro traveled to the world of Avalar, invaded by Ripto and his minions. In Year of the Dragon, he and Spyro had to rescue the dragon eggs from the Sorceress. In Enter the Dragonfly, Sparx helped Spyro rescue the dragonflies who were stolen from the newly-hatched baby dragons.
