Eliatropes are a fictional race in the Krosmoz, a fictional universe created by Ankama. It is also the name of their creator goddess.
Origins
After the goddess Eliatrope and the Great Dragon created the universe, the two entities engaged in a second dance, in which they gave birth to an intelligent race. The first members of this new species hatched from six dragon eggs called "Dofus", and inside each Dofus was an Eliatrope and a dragon. The original six Eliatropes were immortal, as after death, they could return to their Dofus and be reborn, but they would have no memories of their past life. But there was one in particular, named Qilby, who could remember every detail of his past lives. This in turn made him grow frustrated and bored.
Through centuries, the Eliatrope Council, made up of the six original Eliatropes and their dragon siblings, ruled over and guided the population in their planet. In a matter of time, both Eliatropes and dragons built a great civilization.
One day, a mechanical race called the Mechasms, had landed on the Eliatropes' planet. Upon making contact, the two species had a peaceful relationship. However, Qilby, in an attempt to free himself from his monotonous life, stole the heart of the youngest Mechasm, Orgonax, and with it, created the Eliacube, a vessel to store Wakfu. When Orgonax found out, he and the other Mechasms were enraged and declared war on the Eliatropes.
After the war with the Mechasms and the destruction of their planet, they were forced to escape in the Zinit, a giant spaceship. They traveled the universe, absorbing the Wakfu from other planets, until they arrived in the World of Twelve. Here they established a colony and rebuilt their civilization, living peacefully again. But Qilby, still holding the Eliacube, used it to purposely send a signal to the Mechasms so that they could target them again. A second war had begun. The other members of the Council discovered Qilby's plan and confronted him in a fight where he lost his left arm. Yugo, newly-named King of the Eliatropes, then banished Qilby to the White Dimension as punishment. The adult Eliatropes had to use all of their Wakfu to create a portal to send their children to a parallel dimension, Emrub, where they could be safe under the care of the dragon Balthazar.
Appearance
An Eliatrope's most common feature is that they wear oversized hats with two "ears". By taking them off, it is revealed that the hat hides dragon wings made of pure Wakfu, which allows them to fly.
