ProtoMan.EXE is a character in the Mega Man Battle Network series created by Capcom. He is the NetNavi of Chaud Blaze.
Introduction
ProtoMan has been Chaud's companion ever since he was younger, and he calls him "Lord Chaud".
Mega Man Battle Network
ProtoMan aided Chaud in locating the WWW and stopping their crime. In the beginning, he didn't like it when Lan and MegaMan.EXE interfered in their missions. After a battle with ElecMan.EXE, who was hijacking ACDC Town's power plant, he confronted MegaMan but was defeated by him. At the WWW's base, MegaMan is confronted by Yahoot and MagicMan, but MagicMan soon receives an energy surge by the LifeVirus and attacks MegaMan, severely damaging his data. At that time, ProtoMan and Chaud had come to stop MagicMan, and Chaud gave Lan the "Hub.bat" program, which overpowered MegaMan.
Mega Man Battle Network 2
While Lan, Mayl, Dex and Yai were camping, Chaud and ProtoMan managed to stop QuickMan.EXE from detonating a time bomb in the Okuden Dam. Later, when ShadowMan was attacking the SciLab's Mother Computer, he and Chaud didn't want Lan and MegaMan to get in their way again.
