Invisibility is a common special ability in ACG works.

Introduction

Invisibility is the ability to let light pass through you so that you are not visible to other people (or animals, or cameras).

Stealth is the ability to reduce the presence of oneself or other objects so that other people (or animals) cannot be aware of them.

The characteristics of invisibility vary from person to person. Generally, they have the following characteristics.

• Self-invisibility and other-invisibility: the former refers to making oneself invisible; the latter refers to making other objects invisible. See intangibility.

• Ontological invisibility and non-ontological invisibility: the former refers to making only the human body (object) itself invisible, while the clothes (accessories, decorations) are not affected; the latter refers to making the human body (object) and its clothes (accessories, decorations) invisible together.
• Real image invisibility and virtual image invisibility: the former means that when the human body (object) is invisible, other people can penetrate the invisible body but cannot feel the invisible body; the latter means that when the human body (object) is invisible, other people can feel the invisible body with their senses.

There are many ways to become invisible. This article describes the character's own special abilities, not including the use of drugs, technology (such as wearing an invisibility cloak) to cause invisibility.

Weaknesses

• Invisibility cannot eliminate one's own smell or sound, so it may be detected by people with corresponding perception abilities.
• The invisibility of some invisible people is limited to the visible spectrum, but the human body itself emits infrared rays, so it can be detected by instruments or perception abilities that observe infrared rays.
• Some invisible people lose their vision or their eyes are more easily detected because the principle of invisibility is to allow light to completely penetrate themselves.
• Some cloaking abilities are unable to eliminate their own form, and thus may be detected by sonar-like abilities and the ability to sense air currents.
• An invisible person may reveal his outline after touching objects such as paint, sand, or snow.
• When an invisible person steps on the ground, the ground will still be under pressure, so the soft ground or the ability to sense vibrations can roughly determine the invisible person's position.

• The invisibility of some people with special abilities does not mean that they will not be injured. They will still be injured or even die under carpet bombing.
• Some stealth abilities do not distinguish between friend and foe. After becoming invisible, there is a possibility of being accidentally injured by friendly forces, or by the driver who did not see the ability user...

• Tsubomi Kido (Mekaku City Actors)
