Komi Witch Lara (Korean: 꼬미마녀 라라) is a South Korean animated series produced by AJOJ Toys and Anyzac. It premiered on March 13, 2023 on the channel Tooniverse.

Synopsis

Lara, a girl from the human world, goes to the world of Ioia and starts attending the Poruru Magic Academy, where students dream of becoming great sorcerers and sorceresses. She makes friends with Somi, a shy girl, who promises to keep her secret. However, Gina, the top student of the academy, disapproves of Lara, and keeps an eye on her. At the same time, something has caused the Komi Pets, which were usually peaceful creatures, to turn evil and cause mischief. Lara has the power to heal the Komi Pets with her charm and liveliness, gradually growing up into becoming a sorceress.

Main

Lara (라라) / Purity Lara (퓨리티 라라)

A girl from the human world and the main character. By forming a bond with the Komi Pet Bong Bong, she gained the ability to transform into a Komi Witch. Using her magic wand, she is able to purify Komi Pets that have been corrupted; it also doubles as an umbrella, which Lara rides as a broomstick while in Ioia.

Somi (소미) / Twicky Somi (트위키 소미)

A student at Poruru Magic Academy, and the owner of Bling. She also uses a Prism to transform into a Komi Witch as well, but because she lacked confidence, she hid her identity under a rabbit mask. Her Prism was destroyed in Episode 10, but in Episode 13, she regains the power to transform into a Komi Witch with the help of a new Magic Gadget.

Gina (지나) / Icy Gina (아이시 지나)

One of the top students at the Poruru Academy, who comes from a family of elite magicians. She initially showed an attitude of disgust towards Lara, but gradually grew fond of her. In Season 2, after Kong Kong returned to his Komi form, she gained the ability to transform into a Komi Witch as well. Her powers are related to ice.

Komi Pets

The Komi Pets (꼬미펫) are magical creatures who accompany sorcerers in Ioia. They start out as a spherical, mouthless form called Komollang (꼬몰랑), afterwards, they evolve into their current form. When a Komi Pet loses their magic or is seriously injured, they devolve into a Komollang.

Bong Bong (봉봉)

Lara's Komi Pet, who resembles a rabbit. He has the power to heal people whose hearts have been corrupted simply by placing his hands over their ears.

Bling (블링)

Somi's Komi Pet, with a cat-like appearance. He follows Somi wherever he goes, cheers for her, and is always willing to protect her. When Somi transformed into a Komi Witch, he initially hid under a rabbit mask as well. He has the power to create glittery jelly-like blocks by winking.

Kong Kong (콩콩)

Gina's Komi Pet, who was still in his Komollang state until regaining his original form in Episode 6 of Season 2.

Kumteul (꿈틀)

Jay's Komi Pet. He can make things move by whistling.

Gureum (구름)

Justin's Komi Pet, who can create rain clouds by spinning with his arms raised.

Komjjak (꼼짝)

Popo's Komi Pet. He has the ability to make people stop moving by clapping his hands.

Chorok (초록)

Vivi's Komi Pet. She takes care of the herb garden along with her.

Pang Pang (팡팡)

Bin's Komi Pet, and one of the workers at Café MiniBini. With his ability to inflate objects, he helps Bin with baking.

Tok Tok (톡톡)

Ari's Komi Pet. She has an "angelic" and kind personality, contrasting with Ari's cold, stern character.

Noti (노티)

Mora's Komi Pet.

Kalkkeum (깔끔)

A Komi Pet that belongs to Jay's uncle. He works at the bathhouse, and has an obsession with cleanliness. He has the ability to make everything clean by making a circle with his hands and blowing on it.

Yu Ryeong (유령)

A Komi Pet with the ability to "possess" objects, similar to a ghost.

Nalla (날라)

A Komi Pet who works at Io Village's delivery service. He delivers items by making them grow wings and fly.

Dark (다크)

A Komi Pet who uses forbidden black magic. He finds those who have darkness within their hearts and corrupts them using black jewels.
