Bass is a character in the Mega Man series created by Capcom.
Introduction
Dr. Wily created Bass on the basis of Mega Man, and he designed him to be his rival. Bass wanted to prove he was the strongest robot alive, and to do that, he planned on defeating Mega Man at all costs.
Mega Man 7
Mega Man first encountered Bass while trying to save the city from the attacks of Dr. Wily. Throughout the game, his intentions seem to be good, and Dr. Light believed he wasn't evil, however, when he was repaired by Dr. Light, he destroyed his lab and stole the plans for the Super Adapter meant for Mega Man and Rush to use them on himself and Treble.

Mega Man 8
At the Wily Tower, he gets hold of one of the Evil Energy orbs, making him and Treble get overpowered, and confronts Mega Man, but is easily defeated. Mega Man tells him that he can't win with "fake power".
Mega Man 10
He is a playable character.
