Androids refer to artificial life forms similar to humans, including robots. The idea behind its creation is to imitate human behavior and appearance. The concept of androids is very common in science fiction works, among which the relationship between humans and androids is most frequently explored.
"Android" is derived from the Greek work "andro", which represents men and people, and -"oid" which means "imitation". It first appeared in the French novel L'Ève future. The story is about a woman who has a peerless appearance, but is vicious and ugly on the inside. Her boyfriend hired a doctor to "use a machine to create a woman with the same appearance as her. Because "Andro" means "male", some people also call female androids "Gynoid".
