Tomy Wai

Tomy Wai (Chinese: 韋啟良/韦启良) is a Hong Kong composer, record producer and film music composer.

Introduction

  • Born in Hong Kong, he started his career in the music industry by forming a band and started to compose film music in 1993. In 1994, he won the Hong Kong Film Awards and Golden Horse Awards Best Original Film Score for Temptation of a Monk and has since scored many films and TV shows.
  • In 2005, he arranged the theme song Even though I'm just a little goat for the TV animation Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf, and has been in charge of the film score, music director and song composition for the series for many years since then.
  • In 2006, he founded J.O.Y. with Jasmine Pang and Jay Kan.
  • Chairman of Hong Kong Film Composers' Association and director of Hong Kong Film Awards.
