Lo’s photo

Lo Wing Keung (Chinese: 盧永強/卢永强) is a Hong Kong lyricist and screenwriter.

Bio

  • He was born in the Central and Western District of Hong Kong and graduated from the School of Business Administration of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. He joined TVB as a scriptwriter in 1978, started writing lyrics in 1983, became a TVB editor in 1986, and became the creative director of ATV in 1989.
  • In the early 1990s, he saw the potential of the creative industry and left Hong Kong to develop in the Mainland. In 1992, he worked as the production manager of City Communications in Guangzhou, and in 2000, he became the production director of Beijing Ahuan Audio and Video Company, and that's when he got the idea of creating Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf.
  • Co-founded Creative Power Entertaining Co., Ltd. in 2004 and became its general manager. He created his first anime Happy Family in the same year.
  • In 2005, he led the team to create the animation series Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf, which has become a hit in China, and is known as the father of Pleasant Goat.
  • In 2008, the Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf series, which was a hit on national TV stations, had trouble making back its money due to rampant piracy of derivatives, and after Pleasant Goat Sports Game was done Huang Weiming left Creative Power Entertaining to set up his own business, MSC, Creative Power Entertaining was once on the verge of extinction. In 2009, the movie The Super Adventure made nearly $80 million at the box office with a cost of only $6 million, which also allowed Creative Power Entertaining to survive. Creative Power Entertaining survived, and Pleasant Goat further came into the public eye.
  • In the years since then "Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf" has produced one movie per year, and Lo has continued to write lyrics for songs in the series until 2015's Year of the Goat Pleasant Goat.
  • In 2014 loaf on the job, created the new animated film Tale of The Rally and wrote the lyrics for its theme song.
