Extended confirmed users (extendedconfirmed) is a group of users that is automatically granted by the MediaWiki system after the user has met higher conditions such as the length of the first edit and the number of edits.
"Extended confirmed users" can be seen as an upgraded version of autoconfirmed users, which requires users to meet more rigorous conditions in order to be granted the appropriate privileges.
