Fictional characters

Characters from works

Characters appearing in the works specified in the Works section, which can be included regardless of gender and race, and there is no restriction.

  • In particular, any historical figures, even if they have appeared in different works, should be included as archetypes.

Gijinka and Moegirls

These characters also have no gender restrictions, so both men and women can be included.

  • If the character is a genderbent version of another character, a jotaika of a male character, or a gijinka of a character in an existing work, and it is introduced in the same page as the original, the original should be the main focus.
  • If the character is a gijinka or moegirl version of a certain object, and the character has multiple designs made by independent creators; priority should be given to introduce each of them on separate articles.

Notice:

  • Archetype articles cannot be created when the archetype does not meet the conditions of the scope of inclusion, but archetypes are allowed to be included under a moegirl's page.
  • If the content of the moegirl's page is too small, but the archetype meets the conditions for inclusion, please consider introducing the moegirl under the archetype's page.

Independent characters

They do not come from the works specified in the Works section, but independent original characters can also be included in Moegirlpedia. For example:

  • Original characters created by artists/illustrators;
  • Kanban musume or virtual spokesperson characters;
  • An independent image of a personal project or business entity;
  • An independent image managed by a commercial company;
  • Characters who appear in works outside the scope of inclusion, but have 2D images.

Notice:

  • Do not confuse independent anthropomorphic characters with characters appearing in works;
  • Do not confuse real people with fictional characters based on them;
  • Unless there is sufficient history/lore and a certain degree of influence and popularity, please do not create articles about those around you for fun.

Real people

Real life people are included only if they meet one of the following conditions:

  • Relevant creators of works specified in the Works section: cartoonists/mangaka, voice actors/actressses, animators, original artists, illustrators, novelists, composers, writers, producers, designers.

    • Utaite/web singers: Must have three or more original songs that meet the music scope of inclusion, those who simply cover ACG songs will not be included;

  • Internet characters who are not closely related to ACGN, but have high popularity and meme attributes, can be included in the way of Internet buzzwords.
  • Internet celebrities and celebrities who are not closely related to ACGN but have a 2D image should be introduced based on the 2D image; if you want to write an article for a person, the article's content should focus on his or her relevant terms and sentences, and only a brief biography of the person;
  • If you do not have a public photo but have a 2D image, you can use the 2D image to illustrate, but do not use a private photo that leaks privacy as an introduction;
  • For personal privacy and image considerations, please do not use photos that are NSFW (Not Safe for Work), or that damage the person's public image.

Groups

Includes groups consisting of the above characters that fit the scope of inclusion, including but not limited to singer groups, voice actor groups, VTuber groups, etc.

  • The groups must be approved and recognized by the people who form them (or in the case of fictional characters, by their creator or copyright owner in question) and works released under the name of said group should exist.
  • Character pairings/ships are not allowed.

  • If there is a need to upload the entire content of the work, it should be uploaded to Moegirl Library;

Special instructions for doujin works

Moegirlpedia is not a work-publishing platform. Please do not publish your work on Moegirlpedia.

Here is a further explanation of the inclusion of doujin works, rather than expanding the scope of inclusion. Moegirlpedia treats doujin and official works equally.

  • Moegirlpedia only provides the same level of introduction and explanation for doujin as much as the official works, but do not publish the original text of the work in Moegirlpedia;
    • If you are a fancier creator, you can consider posting your work on Moegirl Library.
  • Doujin based on existing content is not allowed.

  • Events that are only well-known among a small group of people and events that have less impact should not be included independently, but a brief description of the event is allowed under the relevant article.

Plot

Lore

Note the difference between lore and plot element.

Archetypes

  • Includes real life elements used by more than 3 independent ACG works, such as real people, events, places, customs, myths and legends and their characters and objects.

Archetype articles should mainly introduce the content of said article's subject related to the ACG work, such as its use in the work. The introduction about the element itself in real life, which is unrelated to fiction, should be concise and to the point, to the extent that the general reader can have the minimum understanding after reading it.

  • The specific standard is to copy the display text of the "use in real life" and "fiction" sections into Word and use the Word count function to calculate the word count. The number of words of the "real life" section should not exceed 500 words or 1.5 times that of the "fiction" section, whichever is greater.
Notice:
  • Moegirlpedia is not a comprehensive or professional encyclopedia. We do not support, encourage, or approve of in-depth introduction of real elements.
