COLOPL (株式会社コロプラ) is a Japanese mobile game company.

Introduction

In 2003, while working at KLab, Naruatsu Baba developed the location-based game Colony na Seikatsu (also known as Colony Life) as a personal side business. As the game became popular, Baba became independent.
In 2008, Baba founded COLOPL. The name of the company is a shortened form of Colony na Seikatsu PLUS, the name of the site at the time of foundation.
COLOPL has been working in partnership with companies in other industries, actively developing games for mobile devices, including location-based games.
On March 2013, COLOPL acquired Gamebiz, who operated the video game news site Social Game Info.
In May 10, 2016, the company acquired Eighting.
In April 3, 2020, the company acquired all shares of MAGES. making it a wholly-owned subsidiary.
