Introduction
Panda
Pandas are China's national treasure (they are a grade-1 protected species). Wild pandas are mostly found in Sichuan, Gansu, and the Qinling Mountains (about 80% of these are in Sichuan).
Pandas have black and white body fur. They mainly feed on bamboo, and also eat meat. For being (seemingly) naive and cute, they are popular animals, however, their physical strength is still not to be underestimated. The image of pandas often appears in diplomacy, culture, sports, artistic creations, and other subjects.
In addition, the lesser panda has a similar diet due to the overlap of its habitat with the giant panda (all using bamboo as a staple food, occasionally eating meat), hence its name, but it's a completely different animal than the panda, with no close relationship.
