Astra is a character in the Ultra Series created by Tsuburaya Productions. He is considered to be the eighth Ultra Brother.
He first appeared in the Ultraman Leo episode "The Leo Brothers vs. The Monster Brothers" (レオ兄弟对怪兽兄弟)
Introduction
Astra is Leo's younger brother, and comes from Planet L77. Planet L77 was in ruins after being destroyed by the Alien Magma. However, Leo, the elder brother, was unable to rescue him. He got the iron ring on his left leg from being captured. In the end, he was rescued by Ultraman King, and joined his brother in the fight to defend Earth.

- The name "Astra" is a combination of "asuka" (アスカ) and "tora" (トラ).
- Astra breathed new life into Ultraman Leo's dwindling ratings.
- The iron ring on Astra's left leg records the hardships of being captured and imprisoned. Even Ultraman King couldn't remove that iron ring! Leo clearly remembers the scene where he rescued his brother from the ruins before L77 was destroyed. After that, Astra was lost in the ruins. Until Leo came to Earth, he never saw him again!
- Astra's arm strength is as high as 180,000 tons, which is also rare in Ultraman, and its arm ring can double the arm strength.
