Ultraman Taro is a character in the Ultraman Series created by Tsuburaya Productions.
He first appeared in "Like the Sun, Mother of Ultra" (ウルトラの母は太阳のように), the first episode of Ultraman Taro.
Introduction
Taro is the biological son of Father of Ultra and Mother of Ultra.
The hot-blooded young man Kotaro Higashi was injured when he was fighting with the monster. Fortunately, he was rescued by the Mother of Ultra who transformed into the Lady in Green, and was given the Ultra Badge. Afterwards, Kotaro was invited to join the ZAT team, but died in a plane crash while fighting against the cosmic monster. Marie, Zoffy, Ultraman, Ultraseven, Jack and Ace awakened Taro under the gesture of victory "V" and Taro merged with Kotaro. At this time, Ultraman Taro was born.
Ultraman Taro and the ZAT team worked together to fight against the attacks of monsters and spacemen, until in the last episode, Kotaro threw his transforming device into the sea in order to prove that humans can fight monsters with their own wisdom (in fact, it was to return to Marie), he continued to roam the earth as a boxer. And after Ultraman Taro returned to the Land of Light, he also became the new instructor of the Space Garrison.
Details
- "Taro" is a Japanese name, meaning the eldest son of a family, and is also used in Japanese folklore as well.
- Taro has the combat power of Ken and the healing ability of Marie, and can use Ultra Dynamite. After using the Ultra Dynamite, Taro's Ultra Heart can regenerate his blown body. Moreover, when Taro was fighting a monster, even if his body was penetrated, his head was cut off, and his heart was not damaged.
- Taro's fighting style is known for his fast-paced series of punches to overwhelm his opponent, and the swallow-style flying kick issued after flipping his body with gorgeous moves is also one of his signature moves.
- Since Marie is related to Ultraseven, Taro looks a lot like Seven, who is also of the Red Tribe. The two horns on Taro's head are called Ultra Horns and are the same as Ken's, which is enough to prove that Taro is different from the other Ultra Brothers.
- For the first time, the existence of the Mother of Ultra is made clear in the plot. On the basis of the concept of the Ultra Brothers and the concept of the Ultra Family, the family drama is more intense.
- Similar to Ace, Taro will call upon the name of the attack when using his Storium Ray, but more often. During the battle, the Color Timer blinked a few times, and Kotaro's aptitude as a boxer was also inherited after he transformed.
- Taro's Storium Ray is the first time in an Ultra TV series that there is a beam technique with obvious charging (energy accumulation) action. It takes a few seconds to accumulate energy before it is activated, this preparation time can be exploited by the enemy in rare cases. Of course, this beam technique also has a version that omits the charging action.
