Mother of Ultra, real name Marie, is a character in the Ultra Series, created by Tsuburaya Productions.
Her first appearance was in Episode 1 of Ultraman Taro, "Mother of Ultra is Like the Sun" (ウルトラの母は太陽のように).
Introduction
The Mother of Ultra is the leader of the Silver Cross Aid, an intergalactic medical aid and relief organization. She is good at using various healing skills, but also has some degree of attack abilities.
She first appeared in the first episode of Ultraman Taro, disguised as the human Kawako Midori.
She is the mother of Ultraman Taro.
Due to her limited appearances, the audience saw very little of her. However, in the movie Ultraman Story, she appeared fully, encouraging a young Taro, and giving medical treatment to a seriously injured Father of Ultra.
But actually, in the Ultraman universe, the Mother of Ultra is regarded as someone of high prestige, and even Ultraman Zero, who is mainly reckless and unruly, would use honorifics to refer to her. Her sister is actually Ultraseven's mother, so the Mother of Ultra is Ultraseven's aunt. From this point of view, Taro is Ultraseven's cousin, and both of their children (Zero and Taiga) are also distant cousins.
Her special technique, the Mother Ray, is said to be more powerful than Taro's Storium Ray.
