I created [[Template:Quoted from other wikis]] yesterday, copying from the Chinese Moegirlpedia. However I have just found out about [[Template:FromOther]] today. Comparing the content of both templates I realised that there are some slight differences, not only in the wording but also in the content. From May 24, 2020 onwards, the EnMGP discussion board will be using {{MAR}}, adopted from ZhMGP. Threads from April and May 2020 were the first to transclude this template.

Note on potential site closure
As you guys might have heard, Chinese Moegirlpedia users are debating over a new Term of Use. As a part of the debate, this English Moegirlpedia (along with the Japanese site) may de closed and its data deleted.
To be fair, English Moegirlpedia might not be touched at all -- it has little influence, and the new Term of Use might not have such a big impact on it. The sad reality is, this site might be spared simply by being forgotten. But for those of us that cares deeply about our creations, this risk can be too great.
I recommend everyone to backup their contributions locally in preparation for the worst.

Petition for archiving threads
As they are too old to do any good, I petition for archiving all threads on this page that have no new messages after 1 January 2020; if this petition pass, this thread should be archived too.
As we have no clear policy on archiving nor active patrols or SysOps, I figure that an unanimous support from active editors can do the trick.

About "Surname-Given Name" or "Given Name-Surname"
As the title, Japanese characters like Misaka Mikoto are written as Mikoto Misaka in MGP, and that's a little wierd.
So shall we discuss about it?
Some possible ways (Using Hatsune Miku as example):

- @红石小蝈 I personally Prefer "Familyname Givenname" for Japanese names (follow convention of the original language). Some Japanese characters use "Givenname Familyname" to follow English naming traditions; I think we can make them redirects, save for the rare circumstance that you have the equivalent of "White Steven" and "Steven White" both existing. I believe no one make name all caps unless they came all caps.

What's wrong with the Edit???
When I open the Edit, it shows me a wrong info:

Signature time zone was set to UTC now due to a bug.
Hi girls and guys,
we found a bug that preventing timezone settings in user Special:Preferences to take effect. Therefore all users' signature time become CDT as localtimezone were set to US central time before. We now change that settings to UTC0. We are not sure why user timezone settings were not taking effect, and trying to fix that.

Template Similar to zh:Template:MarkAsResolved?
I was archiving all the posts on the discussion board the other day, and found out it's really hard to tell apart unnecessary posts from currently active ones without reading the contents. I'm just wondering if there is a template that can explicitly show whether or not a discussion topic is resolved, like zh:Template:MarkAsResolved.

Request to delete "Jotaika of the Republic of China" from Mainpage
There is a link "Jotaika of the Republic of China" to Template:Jotaika_ROC on Mainpage. In my opinion:
- According to the page history, it was not added by Head Administrator Baskice (though he didn't remove it afterward) or any administrator;
- Since it was added in 2013, no one has created such template, including the user User:Xyninesky who added it himself/herself;
- Compared with "Jotaika of Anime And Manga Characters" and "Jotaika of Game Characters" which are listed together with it, it has less coverage, and can be included in "Moe Anthropomorphism of Countries" on the previous row;
- According to the policy of four areas across the Strait of ZhMPG, which I don't know if applys here, it contains inproper term "ROC".
