Ultraman Zero is a character in Tsuburaya Productions' Ultra Series. His first appearance was in the movie Mega Monster Battle: Ultra Galaxy Legends, released in 2009.
Introduction
Zero is the son of Ultraseven, and is from the new generation of Ultra Warriors in the Land of Light. Affiliated to the Inter Galactic Defense Force, he is the young and strongest Ultra Warrior in the Land of Light on the M78 Nebula. Because of his youthful rebellious intention to touch the Plasma Spark Tower, he almost made a big mistake. After that, Seven entrusted him to Ultraman Leo for training, in order to shape his character. Only after being informed by Ultraman King did he know his origins, and together with other Ultramen, he successfully rescued the Land of Light which was frozen by Belial.
Details
- Zero is the youngest and one of the strongest Ultra Warriors in the Land of Light. His basic combat ability comes from his father, Ultraseven. His beam techniques are the same as Seven's, and he also uses Sluggers as a weapon, but the twin Sluggers in his head are more powerful than his father's. Also, the two Sluggers can be combined into one. His fighting skills and weapon abilities were cultivated in his special training with Leo.
- Zero is a powerful Ultra who combines the power of many Ultramen. He has gorgeous and colorful beam techniques, a brave and firm fighting will, rich and skilled combat experience and fighting skills, and has a first-class fighting level.
- Zero often wipes his nose or mouth with his thumb in battle (possibly a tribute to Bruce Lee), and will humiliate his opponents with proud statements such as "You're 20,000 years too early!" However, after defeating some enemies who do not use despicable means, he doesn't insult them, but rather treats them with the courtesy of a warrior.
- Zero has a rebellious attitude and a free-spirited, enthusiastic character, but despite this he has a heart of sympathy and protection for the weak.
- Zero calls his father "oyaji" (
老爹 ) in Japanese. He referred to Ultraseven by his first name before being told that he was actually his father. He calls Leo "Master Leo" or "Instructor Leo". In the case of other Ultra Warriors, he often referred to them without honorifics, such as when he called Zoffy "Captain Zoffy". He would only refer to Mother of Ultra or Ultraman King using honorifics.
- Zero's upper body is blue and the lower body is red, which is a tone that an Ultra of the Land of Light has never had before.
- Zero has a total of four human hosts: Run in Ultraman Zero: The Revenge of Belial, Nozomu Taiga in Ultraman Saga, and Leito Igaguri in Ultraman Geed. Zero possessed the humans' body in order to save their lives.
- Run had no consciousness of his own after being possessed.
- Taiga once refused to transform due to a childhood trauma, so when he first transformed into Zero, he was only about 8 meters high.
- Leito's possession scene pays homage to Ultraman Jack.

- Zero's form while he was being trained by Ultraman Leo on Planet K76.
