Triple tails (Japanese: トリプルテール) are a hairstyle and a moe point in ACG subculture.
Introduction
The triple tails, as the name suggests, is a hairstyle with three ponytails. It is a relatively rare moe point, so the methods of tying it are different.
The tying method of two short ponytails in the front and a long ponytail in the back is relatively common, that is, tying a ponytail on the left and right sides of the head, and then tying another ponytail behind the head. The three ponytails tied in this way can be regarded as a combination of a single ponytail and twintails.
The twintails and triple tails tied with a ribbon at the back of the head ("one knot") is a hairstyle with quite an ancient Japanese style.
There are other ways of tying triple tails. If the number of ponytails matches, it is considered a triple tail hairstyle.
