The intake (インテーク) is a hairstyle feature that can be seen repeatedly in ACG works, and is also one of the moe points in subculture.

Introeuction
The feature of the intake is that at least part of the hair above the bangs is separated from the middle to the left and right sides. On each side, it first rises for a short distance and then starts to descend. When viewed from the front of the head, it presents an M shape (which can be high or low). It is different from the general situation in ordinary hairstyles where the hair starts from the middle or the top of the head and droops along the curve of the top of the head.
This hairstyle is called the intake (インテーク) or air-intake (エアインテーク) referring to the air inlet of some aircraft, or the air intakes of cars such as the Citroën GT or the Lamborghini Huracán. This may be due to the fact that the M-shaped hairstyle cooperates with the upper edge of the hair in front to create two holes, which are reminiscent of the above mentioned air-intake.
The first two characters to be noticed to have "air-intakes" were Yoko Tanaka in the 90s anime Idol Tenshi Youkoso Yoko and Sakura Kinomoto in Cardcaptor Sakura. Since then, this hairstyle has apeared on multiple characters in ACG works (a large part of which are galgames).
